Visual Environments

We have been investigating how physical factors of sound and visual fields influence our brain activities by electroencephalography (EEG) and magnetoencephalography (MEG). There should be a hint to design an excellent environment.

EEG is the measurement of electric potential differences on the scalp. MEG measures the weak magnetic fields produced by electric currents flowing in neurons. The measured signals are generated by the synchronized neuronal activity. Many interesting properties of the working human brain can be studied.

We are investigating brain activities in relation to perceptions and subjevctive evaluations of the environment. Our goal is to design good environments based on brain functioning.
